I didn't want to post this on the main forum as it doesn't really help consumer confidence.

Apparently there were only 579 installs done last week of a <4kWp size. Even more shocking is the >4kWp figure........... 1!

Depressing stuff.

Just as worrying, 53 new companies joined MCS as PV installers already this month. Some out there obviously think this is a booming market, just a shame it's not our customers!

we've done 1 install last week, 1 tomorrow, 1 next week, and a few more in the pipeline, so there is work out there, though it's definitely harder going with this EPC requirement and we've lost a few jobs because of that, and others are contingent on some fairly hefty energy efficiency work taking place, so we're definitely going to end up with jobs taking longer on average, and more time wasted chasing leads that can't meet the EPC requirement.

same here I got around 10 to go at now. I think those new Mcs companies dont stand a chance , Its hard to get customers with experiance of installs.... the hardest job to get is always your first.

Well I don't want to brag - but we multiplied that by ....... 4 (well I need to leave room for someone else's bragging rights!)

We've done 4 quotes this week but there's absolutely no urgency with any of the customers despite a much longer lead in time. I don't know whether we're more desperate now or if they genuinely are taking longer.

The event we were at on Sunday was very positive, lots of interest and lots of people not quite realising that it's still a good investment. I think there's work to be done with public awareness.

Few enquiries but agree no urgency at all in getting things moving. Im at a 14.6% ROI again for a 4kw. Will all come in bloody June I bet.

Have a show this weekend with a good target market and have exclusivity so hoping to get a bite lol

Ok, don't laugh .... took cup cakes to our event on Sunday, told everyone they were solar cup cakes and everyone wanted to talk to us rather than our other boring competitors. Don't tell everyone ;-) - it certainly worked for us.
