Hi Mr Bailey,

We are very interested.

The company was established in 2008 as E.A. Electrical Solutions, and became TESTELECT LIMITED following the appointment of a new director and management restructuring in 2010.

We are members of the NicEic and are registered with Approved Contractor and Part P accreditation. We are independently inspected by this and other organisations to ensure that the works we carry out are in full compliance with our statutory and legal obligations.

As a company we have recently acquired the necessary nationally recognised qualifications for the installations of solar photovoltaic panels and associated wiring, equipment, and testing.

This has enabled the company to gain registration and membership to the MCS, Micro generation Certification Scheme, allowing us to register each installation with the Distribution Network Operator and assist our clients in securing all relevant tariffs.

Our company is also registered with the REA, Renewable Energies Association, and has signed up to their Renewable Energies Assurance Scheme, REAL. This aims to guarantee a high quality experience for consumers as it's membership have agreed to abide by the high standards set out in their consumer code.
The company is jointly owned by Eric Ahmet and Colin Cotterell Both directors have significant electrical backgrounds and are fully qualified to City and Guilds 2382, 17th edition IEE wiring regulations BS7671 2008 City and Guilds 2391, Inspection, Testing and Verification of Electrical Installations City and Guilds 2400, Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations City and Guilds 2372, Installation, Testing and Verification of Solar Photovoltaic Systems Eric Ahmet has some fifteen years experience in the industry working mainly in the domestic and commercial sector. His involvement on decent homes projects as an electrical site manager in recent years has gained him invaluable experience in dealing with the general public in the social housing market.

This experience has naturally established him to take the roles of Operations and site based Contracts Manager for the company.

Colin Cotterell has over thirty years experience in the electrical industry working in a variety of sectors including, light industrial, commercial, shop fitting, theme park, and domestic environments. During this time he has gained experience in many aspects of electrical installations from basic wiring and rewiring, through instrumentation and control panel building, onto fire alarm, door entry, specialist and theatrical lighting.

For the ten years prior to joining TESTELECT, he worked as a Senior Contracts Manager for a successful East London based electrical installations company. Among his roles within this company were to follow up from initial enquiry, price and complete tender documents, organisation of labour and materials, process all site documentation including test certificates, and collate payment applications for contracts to ÂŁ5M.

His role within the company is predominantly office based dealing with the general day to day business including, estimating, health and safety documentation and issues, contract documentation, and financial issues.

TESTELECT LIMITED currently employ between 10 - 15 site based staff, ranging from qualified test engineers, qualified electricians, and electrical improvers on a self-employed basis. All of our current employees have been known to us for a number of years, and have been chosen for their professionalism and ability to complete works on time and to a high standard. We currently hold a data base of sixty similar operatives who we have known for many years.

As the company grows it is our intention to directly employ many of these engineers.
All employees have been trained and are fully conversant with general site safety standards and asbestos awareness. As a respectable contractor we ensure that all necessary PPE is provided and kept up to date.

As a company we carry out general electrical, and solar photovoltaic installation works to commercial and domestic properties for both new build, and refurbishment projects.

In addition to this we are currently engaged to carry out service and reactive maintenance works on behalf of local authorities.

Please send a PM with further info.
