Hi all, quite new to this forums so hopefully this is in the right place.

I have a combi boiler, please see picture of the old wiring of the thermostat and how I have wired up the new smart thermostat. Boiler still comes on but no display to the thermostat. Also I tried 4 into 1 but still no luck. If anyone could advise please? Do you have 230v between terminals 3 and 4?
If not then how about 2 and 3?

If you have 230v between 3 and 4 then the unit is faulty if it won’t light up.

Looks exactly like mine ,I bought it off amazon ,was a nightmare to program ,soft ware was rubbish so we just set it to 20 degrees during day and get off our backsides at night to turn it up.if I remember right the app is called becca smart.no wonder our gas bill is thru the roof

Last year I removed six 'stats from one of my holiday cottages, that looked similar, from the back at least, to the OP's new ones and replaced them with ones that had internals similar to the OP's original.
Became fed up with guests messing with the (incomprehensible) programming, so now just simple rotary dials with limit stops.

Hive must be making a fortune cos the amount of customers buying them on the black Friday sale was ridiculous. I must have connected up 5 since September and the plumber I work with seems to only supply hive .I prefer nest its sleeker comes in different colours and just feels better.only problem is the charging wire .fine if you have an old stat but most don't so opt for the stand .the reciever is better as well with cable clamps .
