We rely on PV Sol. To be able to demonstrate to a customer which panels will produce the most kWh / kWp is priceless. You'll also learn alot about design, the impact of shading, oreintation etc to a much greater degree than without using it.

It really does allow you to sell loads against your amatuer looking competitors who don't use it.

We've had an in-house developed system called easy-pv.co.uk for ages and have now just made it available for others to use for free. It does panel and mounting layout, SAP, inverter sizing, voltage drop, roof and wind loading and isolator sizing. a schematic designer will also be activated shortly which should make life even easier

PVSol Expert every time. Wouldn't be without it. Was able to show one customer how trimming a few trees in her garden would make a big difference. Got us the job as well.

Set up a default job with all the economic parameters in it, so you do not have keep on reloading them. The economic model can be daunting at first, but take the time to understand it. Internal rate of retrurn and discounted cash flow is the way assessment of renewables is done at government level. It is also the way major business's assess investment opportunities. Once you get it, it becomes easier to explain to a prospect. As already mentioned using this software will set you apart from those using only SAP and guesswork.
