I have been doing quite a lot of service and maintenance work over the last 12 months and have observed a large amount of loose/slack terminations on the AC side of PV systems.

I had originally put this down to inexperienced installers rushing to hit deadlines as so many of the installs seem to be right before tariff drops but am now wondering if there might be some electromechanical/physical reason that a PV system might be more susceptible to this?

Has anyone else noticed this?

The DC side, if installed correctly originally, seems to be very robust.

sparks having to pull cables back out to test at the end of the job while the rest of the team are in the van chomping at the bit to get home?
