Could anyone who knows anything about the new 2357 please answer this question? i am currently on my second year as a mature student at college. What i want to know is will i just move on and complete my 2330 level 3 in my third year this september or will i be unable to do this because of the introduction of the 2357. i am not working in the trade. thanks for any replies. no one seems to know what is happening!

The c&g2330 course will no longer be funded. Not sure how your provider has charged, but for the level 3 our learners pay £700 and we claim £700 from the LSC.

Our college is running the level 3 next year for the part time groups to finish but will not be funded by the local authority. We are therefore running this out of courtesy, losing £700 per learner (which I presume not every college will want to do).

The last date for registration onto this qualification is 31st July 2010.

Hope this helps

our local college is charging £1000 each student if there is 20 in the class.. but if only ten register for it they will be paying £2000 each. so if only 5 want to do it well I would be unhappy at paying the grand never mind the other two amounts. it all depends on your training provider and how much they will be charging. glad mine is all done and dusted as I could not have afforded it at that amount.
