Been a long time since I done my apprenticeship and back then to qualify it was c&g 236 part 1&2,got a lad who wants a job but it's all nvq's now what are the qualifications needed now to be classed as a qualified electrician?

i tried that with the A1, but he just laughed, and dared me to fire. Damn stoppage!
never used to get stoppages with the bolt action lee enfield .303. and could put in a 4" group at 500 yards.

Thanks for all the "witty" replies main reason for asking was the lad in question started his c&g about 7years ago but never finished it gave up the trade now reckons he only has to get his nvq's to be qualified and as I qualified 20+ years ago not up to speed with what was classed as qualified now as all the update courses ive done have always been c&g

He needs to be quick about it as the current NVQ will cease to exist very soon and after that he will not be able to do it as a stand alone qual.
