Hi all, Quick question for you all, i used to be a meter installer for western power on single phase meters. Im applying for a new role doing the same. I have checked my authorisations and i have a lvco, which i understand and also a MSP authorisation??? cant find the definition for MSP anywhere.
my authorisation reads
Non operational Authorisations
Single phase restricted to periodic meter changes only

MSP- authorised to install, wire, test and commission whole current single phase metering.

Does anyone understand what authorisation this is? is it equvilent to PTO or MOP? any help on this will be much appreiciated.

Thanks

Contact Western Power’s training department, I’m sure they will tell you.
If your authorisation was issued by an outside body then you should be able to use it elsewhere, if it’s issued by Western Power it’s probably restricted to their business.

it is the equiv to a pto however as stated above it may only count if working on "western power" contracting.
