Hi I’ve recenly completed my apprenticeship, I come into a conversation with many people that give me 2 answers 1 that I’m up to date with the latest regulations and 2 that I’m not and need to take my 18th edition exam! Who is right? As I’m looking for. Anew job now and want to be qualified to 18th edition

I did the 16th exam (yellow I think) at college during my apprenticeship so presumed it was required for the NVQ3

Did you take the 18th?

Either way, you can call yourself an electrician and qualified.

Well done.

You would have completed an 18th edition module as part of your NVQ.

As above I did C&G at college which was the back end of the yellow book and when I finsihed the course we all had to buy the new 16th ed light blue regs book and on site guide from the college shop/
I don't see how you could be NVQ3 without doing the latest regs as part of the course...

Amongst any paperwork associated with the results for NVQ3 you should either have a separate Certificate that says something like,,
your name has completed BS 7671:2018+A2:2022
OR on the NVQ cert it should say your name has completed a module BS 7671:2018+A2:2022
