In the era of the 11/12/13th edition regs copper, aluminium and steel conduit were recognised in the wiring regulations, so presumably it must have been a standard item in those days.
The copper conduit had soldered 'end feed' fittings and brass besa boxes the same as today's copper pipe fittings.
Copper pipe could easily be used as a conduit for switch and socket drops with brass tank connectors used to join on to the metalclad boxes.
Personally I'd go with the micc suggestion if they want copper.
Or spray paint normal steel conduit!

I missed out on those as a kid, my parents used to buy me a magazine called 'World of Knowledge'. I only caught up with the Beano and Mad when I was a student.

The copper conduit in my house was recycled plumbing pipe. I didn't use it as the main circuit cpc, it's just bonded to earth at every point using a very small ring terminal and an M3 countersunk machine screw.

Using this method would also cool the cables and allow a smaller CSA to be used. Obviously you would need to use the cold water pipes, not hot. Obviously. Daz

big copper pipes with earth tags where you can touch it .. with a PVC conduit in the middle with all the wires going in
But that will lower the Current Capacity of the cable

or just spraying a gold ish Leaf/copper spray paint over conduit to make it look a bit copper like but i think that would be dear

bounding to the PVC Conduit is the tricky part tho, but maybe some earth clamps to make it look real.

Im guessing whats the saloon more a industreal look to it with copper (tho copper dose look ugly after a while)

I used to love running and terminating MICC, never used it bare though, but now I bet not many would know how to terminate it properly,let alone own the necessary tools.:wink5:

I installed a bit of 2l2.5 yesterday as it happens, and was reterminating some 7l1.5 a few weeks ago. Lovely stuff to work with.
