"I had to make a judgement call either to work in the dark or connect the temporary lamp to the cutout" FFS he had a torch in his pocket.
I do however remember the DNO guys connecting a wolf drill to the incommer with clips to drill holes for the meter board. this was before battery drills though.

Watchdog overplaying it at beginning but the shoddy work and lack of testing + the light bulb with a 400amp ish fuse protection are a classic then to say watchdogs Electrical expert doesn't know what he's talking about is an exiting laugh... Flash!!!!!!!!!!

As in a similar thread regarding this programme;
I was astonished that the so called expert was able to maintain his hidden position, and not put a stop to this idiot going any further once he started poking his lamp direct into the cut-out.
This in my opinion made a normally enjoyable "Rogue Traders" as bad as the perpetrator himself.

Never seen it, but these programmes often highlight " problems" which really are not.
I've seen them pick up on connector blocks, well taped up while obviously it's work in progress. Don't know about you guys but it's common practice some of the dangers they highlight.

I hope you domestic lads get in touch with the program makers about advertising the scams by saying an electrician had to be a member of……… Showing the various scam companies logo’s I’m fairly sure is against the BBC’s charter.

It needs pointing out electricians aren’t required to be in a scam to report jobs to LBC.

One of the advantages of BBCi is you can fast forward through all the rest of the dross in the program.

The fella was a cowboy first and foremost, but this is all just a residual result of the scam training companies. What annoyed me most though was the over representation of the scams on the BBC and secondly, both the scaremongering and lack of knowledge displayed by their so called 'expert'.

Shoddy journalism at best.

Perhaps someone should inform the BBC that there are now more cowboys out there as a direct result of these Scam Providers than there ever were before they got there greedy mitts into our industry.... Safety First, my arse!!
