Quietest 230v Bathroom Fan??

The trouble is, they are nearly ALL bloody quiet. It's that air stuff moving about that makes all the racket. Hard to beat a loft mounted in-line unit IMHO.

Explair dx100 range and c4r range are pretty decent, not completly silent but has two speed options.

At £25-40 pretty resonably priced also.

I agree that the movement of air is the noisy bit.
I fitted a 220 m3/hr in-line in a house with a walk in shower and on the speediest settling the turbulent noise up the vent was amazing whereas the fan in the loft was silent.
Wonder whether you need a Venturi type shaped vent rather than a bog standard injection moulded mass produced.

Generally I find the problem with the whoosh is due to too narrow a duct.

The manrose mf100t is a 6” fan with 4” ports, hence the whoosh when using 4” ducting from the ceiling to the fan.

When comparing specs, be careful of those that claim to be super silent but also have 2 speeds. The slow speed, where hardly any air moves, is the silent mode and the noise level quoted in the spec. The normal mode is nowhere near as quiet.
