So my mum is currently giving the old man gyp about the extractor fan in their en suite (WC and sink) 4" manrose or something currently (tbh its average noise at most...)
She wants something quieter (and the old man wants something non wallet breaking..)

So had a shufti...toolstation do one thats 27dba at 3 metres...which is pretty quiet.
Any other suggestions?

I have fitted xpelair simply silent recently and was very quiet. Envirovent silent or silent design are also good.

Watch out for manrose. Lots of their fans state IPX2 only and are not suitable for installation in zones.

This is well outside the zones (its about 6'4 at the lowest on the wall above the loo) and sink is the other side of the room
but thanks for the tip :)
I'll have a look at the Xpelair and the vent axia (though I have one of their 6" fans in the kitchen and it sounds like concorde spooling up...the 75mm one previously in the bathroom was just as bad....replaced it with a cheapo 6" polish fan...and its a LOT quieter...only noise apart from a a very quiet blade whirring is the cover vibrating when the washer downstairs decides to go for a dance across the kitchen floor lol

Just a stinky bog instead.

and with the emissions of some of my relations...that could be fatal/flammable/explosive...

Ordered an envirovent silent 100 timer, £32 from an online wholesaler (would have cost me £8-10 in juice to the wholesalers and back...)
mum happy enough....old man and his wallet...not so much...
