Trouble is if its too quiet you won't know when it's stopped working

X months down the line, fan still virtually silent, no rattles and well made, plastic feels stronger than most and wiring inside is well laid out, only one gripe, I wish they would stick a knock out in each corner, so you could avoid either drilling a hole or having the writing vertical or upside down, depending on what someone has done in the past...

Did the manufacturers instructions of this fan spec 3amp supply.? And have you put it on 3A fuse.?

I also rate the environvent silent (sil100t) fans. Cheap too. I've also fitted a Vent Axia one, but it was 50% more and the design was not as good.

No need with the envirovent. One of the things I like most about them. The MI only state that the connections must be made through a double pole switch with a contact gap of at least 3mm.
