Hey Guys


I've just quite smoking after smoking like a chimney since 13!! lol

Been quit for 6 weeks now so i'd say I've beat the bugger

Congratulations lads.
I quit about 5 years ago and it was the best thing I could ever have done.

When I was quitting there was a couple of times when I caved in and had a smoke, but instead of thinking I couldnt quit I just let the smoke be a one off.

Over the following year I had moments of cravings that became less frequent, and now have no cravings at all.

So expect cravings now and then, but more importantly dont give up even if you do have a moment of weakness.

I'm glad i'm not the only one getting them lol they are the most ....... erm ........VIVID dreams i've ever had lol

Well done mate, dont do what i did and take up the hobby again after 5 months, stick at it, and i'm gonna have another go soon.

I gave up in 2002 for 3 years then started again. Have just stopped again about 6 weeks ago. was a lot harder to quit second time. took me about 9 months to even build up to stopping. I found that going on patches and having an inhalator when i was driving was the best method. seems to be working anyway. And yes the dreams i think it was the patches that did it but man there were some strange ones going on.

My wife also gave up on New Years Day.

Well boys still not had a smoke and the best thing is the cravings have vanished

I didn't even get a pang on new years when the clock struck 12 and after auld lang syne ALL my mates dashed out for the first smoke of the new year!

Well done to everyone else that quit and as Mr Curtis Mayfield Said "Keep on keeping on"

Ive cut down to 3 a day now since the new year considering i smoked like 20 a day getting down to 3 has been hard but do able
