Tries a few pull cords and found that the crabtree one was the quietest.
Will see how this goes for a few weeks.

Hi All

Is there such thing as a quite pull cord switch?? My standard MK switch wakes up the baby and really annoys the hell out of me as its just so loud.

Don't want to go down the PIR route and don't want a dimmable switch.

Any Ideas??

I know this is a really old topic - but if you cant move the baby try one of those touch dimmers Taptile - Ditch the switch one-touch mood lighting and dimming solutions for the bathroom and kitchen I found them in Topps last week....

I really don't like occupancy sensors in bathrooms only for the reason being you lie in the bath too long it goes off and I fitted one for a women who didn't like the fact if she wanted the light on in the day for a bit more light she couldn't. I fit them quite a lot in commercial disabled toilets and they are really good for that .

Why have we got 2 threads on silent pull cord switches that have both been resurrected from the dark ages?

You wait ages for one, and then 2 come along at once!!!
