how many people actualy use a plug top to test r1+r2
as when ever i do it i end up having to undo sockets to gain access to terminal just to ba able to get reliable reading using a plug top can put any where between .2 to .3 on the reading depending of warn pins and yes i do put in plug half a dozen times to clean off dirt

I do.

I got me one of them socket adaptors, never had an issue with it yet. Now and again I will remove a front just to compare and make sure all is ok.

It can be of assistance to find a truer reading than the actual circuit wires, because the fault takes notice of this reading rather than the cable cores
If it passes with the usual murky plug top then the circuit itself is no problem, what do you say?

surely you mean .02 or .03 on your readings , if that`s the case then everythings A O K.

no .2 .3 this is my point in most properties i am coming across the sockets are so worn the a good conction can not be made so i am having to undo every socket to get a good conection as some tight sockets i will get the desired reading then from a warn socket i may get reading plus .2 wich would sugest a spur so droping socket is needed
