Rangemaster Cooker Hood

Anyone fitted one, or similar? How did you route the cable in? Through the back or down the false chimney?

Think it will come with a cord attached which can be taken into the chimney housing.

Then go see a Dr Mate your sentence structure is a bit off, still no one is perfect are they?

It’s a recirculating unit. Got a flex outlet FCU but looking at the best position for it.

The instructions are as clear as mud when it comes to wiring up and the best route.

Well .......... the FCU has to be readily accessible ............ so not concealed within the hood.

The last couple I've done, I have placed the FCU in the adjacent cupboard and run a cable horizontally to the hood and used the clickflow within the hood.

or put FCU on top of the wall unit and fee to the new extractor fan .

If there are cupboards either side great but if open wall either side of the chimney I'd install a single flush box to either side- say 300mm from the centre at high level then also install a conduit from the box to the centre of the 'chimney'. Then when installed simply feed the attached flex through the conduit before fitting the chimney and connect with a SFCU.

But when it comes to fitting the thing my best advice would be avoid and get the kitchen fitter to do it, fiddly as hell in my experience.
