It’s a recirculating unit. Got a flex outlet FCU but looking at the best position for it.

The instructions are as clear as mud when it comes to wiring up and the best route.
 
If there are cupboards either side great but if open wall either side of the chimney I'd install a single flush box to either side- say 300mm from the centre at high level then also install a conduit from the box to the centre of the 'chimney'. Then when installed simply feed the attached flex through the conduit before fitting the chimney and connect with a SFCU.
