I couldn't agree more, some of the competitors quotes are ridiculous. I still compete with these numpties on occasions but I never entertain their quotes. Instead I choose to sell myself and services and work WITH the client.

It's a diary filler at the end of the day, if I know I have a few blanks then I'll see if there are any jobs worth entertaining. Also, I only request notification of jobs within a 5 mile radius and by doing so I know that I am still building a LOCAL client base. This is important to me because I only out by myself in September of last year.

I receive quite a few call from clients friends and families which has been more rewarding.

:thumbsup

Just recieved this one, guess what thebudget is
Looking to rent the house out but need a certificate for electrics
Quote for a fan in bathroom
Quote for replacing a shower
Must be qualified electricians and need to see qualifications

Not quite, under £250.00 Do these people not realize the EICR alone could cost that?

Makes me fume thinking there will be someone out there willing to do it for that budget though. Only joined due to a down turn in work, wish I had saved my tenner and spent in on something more useful like heroine :74:

Some muppet will do it that's the really sad thing mate, whether or not his/her quals will be legitimate is another matter

Installing new Mira Sport shower 10.8KW, to replace the old 9 KW Mira Sport one that doesn't function properly anylonger. It is quite a straightforward job but needs a bigger wire to work.

TWO dime bars have purchased this lead!!!!

I say suck on my white chocolate salty balls lol Absolutely ridiculous when they list such work for approx budget of £100!!!!!!!

Day dreamers some of them I tell ya :75:

It was probably their friend in the trade whos done a new CU and when the RCD won't hold they've told him to go back to the trade counter he works at

May be its a sign of the times the public are hacked off with the banks not dealing with them fairly plus Rated People in my view is an outdated business model what I call Loads of Money Middle Man business that is squeezing from both sides plus as one customer said they are a glorified yellow pages. Thing is me thinks they may go bust by Christmas as their advertising is being ramped up which to me is a sign of a business in trouble. I think Service Magic are in the same class and as I have said I just will not deal with them as I mention to my customers its hard enough to keep your costs down without paying them for jobs you may or may not get
