Anyone know of an RCBO manufacturer, apart from Chint, that includes an indicator in the RCBO to indicate if the trip is a earth fault or an overload.

Not RCBOs, but Hager AFDDs - which include an RCBO - indicate why it has tripped:

"The multicoloured LED display will flash in a different sequence of colours to identify the fault. With the ability to identify 8 statuses, the device will instantly detect if a Series Arc, Parallel Arc, Overvoltage, Residual Current Fault, Overload, Short Circuit, AFDD failure or manual trip has occurred, saving time and improving diagnostic ability."

You can also download a fault log showing the last so many trips (8 or 16, I think) from the AFDD via Bluetooth.

Having said that, I know there have been some concerns raised about Hager AFDD reliability.

Hager RCBO's have a green indicator if the trip was caused by an earth fault, if it's just tripped without the green indicator then its an imbalance or overload.

As I am retired, the Hager AFDD's would be redundant in my property, the only one I work on now days, I have an all RCBO board and it just sits there getting on with the job.
