Hi all , just a stupid question. on a normal domestic CU would cutting back the earth and nutral tails from a rcbo ( just to tidy them up ) have any effect on the RCBO .I have seen many RCBO in boards befor but for some reason nobody wants to cut them back , I can uderstand leaving them long in a larger board ,in case they have to be moved -what ever - but ai have never seen them cut back ib a small CU . any thoughts ,,,,

If you cut them and then the is a problem you may have difficulty changing it as they could say you have modified it thus make the warranty on it null and void.

I've cut back loads of them easpecially when there are a few in same board its like a vipers nest if you dont,
odd occasion there's been a faulty one never had a problem getting a replacement one, and as mentioned before just tin the ends or re ferrule them as there uasally very fine copper strands.
so yes go for it mate.:)
