Rccb ??!!

Right, this has got me a slight bit baffled, this morning at around 6:30am i found the RCCB controlling the lights up and down, cooker and water heater had tripped in the night..No shower and no breakfast!.:59:..i switched off all the breakers and tried to put the RCCB back on and nothing, it would not work. After a couple of attempts it stays on, and then i switched on the breakers one by one assuming the guilty mcb would trip the rccb. Still nothing, everything worked fine for a few mins and then it trips again, i tried to switch on the rccb with the breakers on,,of,, no load and full load (kettle),,nothing seems to be working so i assume its a dud, and finding a replacement seems to be a nightmare as no one seems to do them, had to resort to ebay, £20..anyway after work i came home and wanted to watch the footy so i tried to turn it all on. now it all seems to be fine and working asif nothing had happend?, during the day aswell it was off as i had a family member round and they tried to turn it on and nothing,

im not very experienced and have not had much time to do any testing!..also the rccb has the neutral bar mounted on the front of it, now if anyone can tell me/guide me on what to do i would very much appreciate it.

Lights /cooker/water heater and shower on same circuit though .............damp somewhere imo lol

yeah i will do as soon as i can,, no outside lights can barley afford to light up indoors,,joking aside,,ill be up again same time tomorrow tho see if it happens again.

I seriously doubt RCCb but could be sticky valve or pump on boiler system that would be intermittent

if theres damp in cables...the RCD will generally hold for a few seconds...then let go but with waterlogged enclosures...
the first thing i am looking for before i even knock on the door when visitin trippin problems is them outside lamps and/or IP socket outlets....

no outside lamps or sockets, and no elec shower,, starting to think it could have something to do with the boiler system as stuartcourt mentions

Is it RCCB or RCBO.................I was under the impression it was RCD tripping!

RCCB, has a small mounted neutral bar on the top of it.
