Cheers guys for all your replies, sorry I did not answer all your questions but I did return with two replacement RCD units swapped them over

still the same issue I contacted meggar for some input turns out my tester is faulty I went to three other installs and carried out the same checks

and the same thing happened doing the ramp test with no results as well as the half tests but all the other functions seemed ok

This unit is a LRC220 only three months old.

bring back robin my last kit was over ten years old never a problem.....

meggar are very helpfull so thats a good sign

any one esle having problems with test kit.....:dizzy2:
