(R1 R2) before IR to ensure all portions of the circuit are being subjected to the testIf the shower is tripping when it is not in use then its would lean more to a faulty cable/connection due to the fact there is no load being used surely ?
Therefore check all connections you can access, do IR test then r1 + r2 see if any reading look out of place!
Zs test will probably not tell you that much in relation to the fault !
Has the shower been working for a while and this falut just appeared?

get continuity first....then IR....yep shower was installed 6 years ago yea so if i disconnect the loads side and do a IR test if i get anything under >200mohms theres a cut or something in the cable?
He must of packed up and gone home, I can't wait until the fault is discovered and revealed to us all.
A mickey mouse Job TBH, 10 mins on site and 99% of sparks would sort it out very easilyanyone else with suggestions feel free to help

yes...one thing i`v noticed in here with these kind of threads is the persistant lack of basic proofing (by testing) of offending circuit/s & apperatus/connected loads....After performing ALL tests were the results satisfactory?
well i`d be using that term loosely Mike if they arn`t in ownership of the necessary equipment to carry out the job in a compliant manner.....Yes it makes you wonder Glenn if some of the sparks on here either own a MFT or know how to use one lol
except you wouldn`t be stumped Kas....If I'd of asked the question, I'd of at least started of by stating "I'm stumped" I've done this, this and this and I can't get my head round the problem please help lol..................
