Hi, My RCD (B Type) in my warehouse trips every now and again and there is a small compresser and pump and a couple of washing machines along with a couple of other small bits, All on seperate circuits. Just wondering could i change the RCD to a C Type and would this sort the problem? Thanks.

Hi there

A bit confused....RCD's deal with earth fault and only come in one flavour, with varying mA ratings.

Could you clarify a bit??

Thanks, How about if i put the compresser and pump on a C type MCB without an RCD as its all surface would that be ok?

You can get domestic RCD's B Type, You can also get motor RCD's C Type

Yes
If you are a skilled or instructed person,no need for any RCD unless its TT

Depends wether the compressor is supplied via a socket or not?

But why is a compressor and pump on the same circuit?
