Hi
Can someone explain me step by step what electrician should do before he will start work in house.
I found the electrical work should be registered at local authority.
But an electrician told me he dosen't have to do this.
In house he will installing new distribution board, re-wiring all circuits, add one new circuit.
Do we need new electrical layout plan for this job?
Does he should registered this job before start it ?
What documents we will need from him to sell this house ?
Thx for your answer.

I checked him and he is not with a scheme. I see it's better if I will call someone with a scheme.
I don't trust him cuz o don't know him.
Thx for answer.
He MUST be a scheme member if he/she is to self notify. And the work must be notified, it is a legal requirement. All of the registered electricians are listed here.
Home - http://www.electricalcompetentperson.co.uk
The Registered Competent Person Electrical search facility lists all electricians registered to work for householders in England and Wales.

Just type in your postcode.

Agree that no payment is made until the work is signed off.
