Is there an official explanation to it? Is it related to recent problems with site and did you proceed with entering info?

I had the same twice before the last drop out of the site, I thought it was because it took me so long to type the post.
You are asked to confirm the numbers & type a fault description to the site owner (like the when sites are trying to stop spam attacks).

I had a grumble & her indoors took a look (shes into the IT stuff) & thought it was more likely to be some security implemented because of what she said looked to be a massive ddos (denial of service) attack.

my security is telling my to backlock all info from this site to stop the attack entering our servers,
Ive had to log on via a proxy to stop a back trace on the attack.

It's very likely a legitimate defence mechanism of the forum but I've not encountered it myself.

Well if it is/was added by the forum (or wasnt) and is due to the possibility of there having being a denial of service attack on this site, would it not have been prudent of the forum admin/owner to tell users about it.
So we might be aware in case we come under some attack or any of our data has been lifted.........happened to sony and others not so long ago.
