Are the existing fittings fire rated?

Yeah they are, they only about a year old. I don't know why the builders didn't go for LEDs in the first place considering how much the apartments cost. There are only 6 apartments worth ÂŁ8m+ in total.

Pretty good chance I do a good job on one I get the other 5 as well, so we are talking over 300 LED bulbs.

I am sure I will be sick of the sight of them after one apartment though!!!!! But it's easy money so I shouldn't complain.

My local supplier suggested Megaman Professional today at about ÂŁ10 a bulb, he is going to get me 1 of each type of white in to try and agreed a discount if I buy bulk.

screwfix have 5w 320lm for ÂŁ2 each at mo but i normally use wholesalers suggestions, but do be careful as some are even a few mm to big

Thanks. I have been around and spent an hour showing them the different whites cool, warm and the one in between, I think it was daylight, in one of their fittings. I think they were 3000, 4500 and 6000k off the top of my head. I explained to them that it's better in the long run to pay a bit extra for reliability and they are quite happy.

I need a mixture of dimmerable and non and going to have to change their dimmer switch, so I am going to go with Varilight touch ones and persuade them to buy the remote control with the different programmable settings, which are actually quite a reasonable price. Well I suppose anything is reasonable if you can afford a house costing that much!!!!!

You'd think so, but I find plenty of people who just don't get it. My own in-laws for one. Saves on the oil heating bill in winter, I suppose.
