Hi group.

Can anybody give recommendations of a earth loop tester that is non tripping of RCBO's

I have an Kewtec KT42 which is ok for for RCD's, but it will trip RCBO's. So I am looking to upgrade to maybe a KT45, but I am not convinced that it will be adequate.

Thanks in Advance

Lennytheloon posted something on this back in January. If you go back thru the pages you'll find it.Something to do with a D-lok on your meter.Hope this helps:D

no a link to the discussion on here

I just want peoples opinions on the test equipment they use as regards toNOT tripping RCBO's, I do not need any technical data. With the 17th edition now everything is going on to RCBO's, which makes testing a pain in te arse, and a heck lot longer to undertake. So I need a tester that will NOT trip RCBO's. Although manufactuers 'claim' that there meter will not trip, there is nothing written down to support this, and indeed in practice they tend to trip them.
