Recommendations please - rechargeable work light

Never noticed mine getting hot Tel but I'll check next time I use one. Is it the front glass that gets hot on yours or the battery compartment? Mine don't have dual settings or a fancy telescopic stand like yours :(

no.the one i have like your pic is LED AND DON'T GET HOT. THE TRIPOD ONE IS 2 X 500WATT HALOGEN. THAT'S THE HOT ONE.

Yeah, I've still got a halogen type somewhere as well but haven't used it in years. Those things were a fire hazard and I had one explode one time when it got wet....

I found this really good so far. It also has a usb port so you could charge your phone from it as well. Also has magnet for those times it is useful. I have tried quite a few LED lights/torches they all seem to be afflicted with flickering and going off for no known reason. This has not done that yet. Two light settings as well. So far so good.

I got this jobby from Screwfix a couple of months ago.

So far its been spot on, two brightnesses, pretty fast charging, and on the lower brightness of which is good enough, lasts most of the day.

This is the one I got and it has been with me under stairs, in cupboards, under floors and just about everywhere that I needed clean white light.
Brilliant is all I can say.
Oh! And it goes for hours

I have some Vision EHL190's. They are a torch and a lamp, will slide in a pocket, have one very strong bottom magnet, two on the back, two swing-out hooks, angles 180 degrees front to back.

They charge fast and last for hours, tough as hell...i had the original 180's and having used everything out there, including some £350+ Snap-on yokes, these are incredible value for money.

Pity that the queen didn't know that.

Wikipedia ; Windsor Castle fire. During renovation work. Halogen light on tripod left unattended.

The fire began in the Queen's Private Chapel at 11:15 in the morning when a curtain was ignited by a spotlight pressed up against it.

This arrived today:
