Tidy Max

Hi everyone!

We are having some decking built outside and an electric roller shutter fitted so i shall be needing to install some power outside.
I can do the cable calcs myself but i was wondering how you lot go about things.

Will i be best installing installing a disboard outside then running seperate amoureds out from there? I thought this would save having to run multiple amoureds all the way back to the consumer unit.

Also, what products do you use for outside? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

I know it sounds daft but outside electrics come under building control and will need to be tested/signed off by them or a part P qualified spark !!
The run all depends on where the distribution board is going in relation to where you want the power for the decking (I take it the shutter isn't near the decking).

Thanks for the reply, just been looking at Part P courses too, didn't realise it was only a day course.

The shutter is near the decking, however i thought i would just put it on its own circuit anyway :)

So can anyone recommend any particular brands of external consumer unit? I have had a brief look however i can only find single MCB ones.
