Hi Guys

I work for an energy company and a customer has asked about a red link, what little I know is that this is an additional way to isolate the supply to the meter that is past the cut-out. my question is, will the DNO fit this for free? or is it down to the householder ? If its the householder I assume they would have to speak to the DNO to pull the main fuse to allow the Red Link to be fitted. Any help appreciated

I would have thought the DNO would be happy to fit an isolator (switch) after the meter (for a fee) but a red link is used in a supply fuse holder to replace a fuse, where there are two fuses in line for example. It is not usually an additional way to isolate and has seals.
I doubt if they would fit anything between the cutout and the meter.
