hey reelsaver !!

im interested in trying one of your products!! i will promise to kick it about as much as i can and give it a good try!!

Guys
I'm not allowed to sell on this forum - which is fair enough.
Our business plan is not based on individual sales but bulk sales to wholesalers.
Can I suggest you speak to your local wholesaler about our product if you are interested and if they don't have any tell them to get in touch.
All the best.

Ebay is the way forward i reckon, you would sell them by the dozen on there, if you coupled that with an internet site you could buy them from in whatever colours and quantities required it would sell well. Sureley a business plan is based on sales, if you turn down sales from individual customers who are after all your bread and butter then i think you will regret it in the long term ,Just my oppinion but worth a thought

Do these things work with the tall, boxed reels (prysmian etc) as well as normal sized reels? Cos I find the taller types get damaged more quickly.

Yes they do. With reels that have a large diameter flange just clamp the cardboard flange that has come off / damaged inside the reelsaver.

Hope this helps. Please get in touch if you need any further information.

Guys, I briefly saw a great product at the Elex this year but for the life of me I can't track them down. There called Reel Savers- you know, they support cable reels from collapsing and then unwinding themselves in the van! Has anyone got a link please?

Right guys, I've spoken to Geoff @ Reel saver and have decided to start stocking them. As usual your 5% discount still applies, use the voucher code "ELECFORUM" during checkout to claim.

Think I'm going to have a go at making my own in metal for my own personal use. got a mate with a CNC plasma cutter couple of ends and a threaded piece of metal 50mm tube and i'm away;)

Still happy with mine, did emergency stop in van today, 4mm with real saver hit dashboard from back of van......still intact!

Also good for cutting strands of cable armour, although I try to restrict their use to copper.
