Does anybody know where or even if you can get some kind of protective cover for the reg books including the OSG as my red ones got battered so going to try to look after the green ones

I do take my laptop on some jobs. Have a portable printer too, allows me to print out estimates, certs etc on the job. I also have a few cable calc apps etc on there.

Otherwise I just view the regs, building regs, OSG etc. on my smartphone.

I carry the red one in the van for use on site, if needed, and keep the green one in the office. Covers most situations.

You can try covering the covers with (what used to be called) Librafilm, a self adhesive plastic sheet that sticks to the cover (use plenty of overlap).
Go a bit up market and try book protectors, slightly more rigid, easy to fit easy to fall off.
Or put the books in a plastic storage box (which is what I do!) Ia m sure you can get these cheaper, but can't remember where atm.
