can any one give me the connections for a hager relay its a ER 125 single module the clickes onto the din rail i have been tyold that a1 and a2 is coil and that if i link 2 and 4 they be come common but i need to know what 1 and 3 are? one is N/O and other is N/C but i just dont know witch way round they are

thanks

An Er 125 as far as i am aware is a relay with 1 N/C & 1 N/O contact therefore 1 & 2 are a N/O contact and 3 & 4 are a N/C contact.

As bugsy says check as this is off the top of my head also.

its switching a domestic heating pump. its to do with a ground source heat pump. it needs an external pump to help with the pumping on the heating side. i am only working from a drawing and this part is not on that.

i have to slice into two wires from the diagrams i have one goes to common and the other one goes to N/O

Just find with a continuity meter the N/O contacts, they will be opposite each other on the relay and put one cable in each there is no common on this type of relay.

all i know is that the pump in the ground heat pump runs both heating and hot water and the external pump just want to pump the heating so i have to slice into two wires one goes into common and other into N/O thats wat i have been told

Hi,
looks from this pic of the ER125
[ElectriciansForums.net] relays

1-2 are N/O and 3-4 N/C A1-A2 are coil.

hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Lofty.

Hi Richard, thanks for your comment. The relay is rated 12A peak. It's also worth noting that a relay contact will perform differently depending...
