Relocate consumer unit

I have a customer who has had a porch extension, this meaning his electric meter is being moved and wants his consumer unit relocating, also meaning all circuits will be extended and run above new ceiling to the new location, I have told him that all circuits will require RCD protection which may mean a new consumer unit.

He sent me a photo of his current C.U and asked if this would be ok to use still

What do you think

He asked if the One circuit on the main switch can just be moved to the RCD side

im not long in the game and no1 cares as long as they plug it in it should work, ive started saying when they question the price , the price of materials and very likely if installation isnt touched will last 20 years

Sent a long time this morning trying to sort out why a factories VSD drives were blowing up over the weekend. We got there in the end.

One beauty is I can curse and swear as well as the rest of them. So long as it’s not a personal attack, it’s fair game. It’s funny having an Indian university professor fly off the handle at some of the questions. The Americans are dead practical, “hit the thing with a bloody big hammer”!
