Yes.it can be a real challenge sometimes,if it's been a halogen lamp thats been in sometimes the heat can affect the springs in lampholder and make them tight if there is no obvious bezel which by your picture seems to be the case then it can be the only possible way for lamp to be removed .try using your 3 fingers on left/right hand push not to hard on lamp and turnyes it is a gu10. is it the bulb itself that I need to turn anti clockwise?
Never thought of that.it is ridiculous some of these down lights and spotlight bar fittings ,how's an elderly person supposed to change lamp,phone a sparky and get charged 50 quidIf the lamp is scrap, glue something to the front of it.
Used double sided sticky tape and it worked. Thanks to all for advising to press and turn anti clockwise as I was unaware of this.If the lamp is scrap, glue something to the front of it.
