Rent a roof

Done quick search on here and probably not found the right lingo for the search engine, so tell me if its been covered.
If not has anybody come across this? Sounds to me like a legal scam, and how does it work?

Rent a roof / Free Solar PV been around for a whil, full of potential problems, like when you come to sell your house, they fact is there is now a 2nd chargeon your property etc etc, perfectly legal, though only someone without any access to money from any resource would go for it.

You are they lanlord and they are the tennant, the rent is free leccy in day light hrs

This could be useful for an company with a large roof that owns the building and doesnt want any large capital outlay???
