Hi, my bathroom downlight has started flickering. it is an integrated 9w lamp from Aurora, which appears to be discontinued. The lamp plugs into a socket in the roof simply enough and I have managed to plug into the same socket another Aurora lamp in the bathroom which works fine, indicating that the integrated lamp/driver itself is the problem not any of the wiring.

lamp: Aurora AU - FRL903 (9W IP65)
LED driver - AU - ALDE7010CC

The question I have is, what would be a good like for-like-replacement for the discontinued product. I'm hoping to simply plug the replacements in with no need to rewire anything.

Many thanks.

Hi gumble789

i am in exactly the same situation. One of 4 downlights in our main bathroom has gone and it’s a Aurora AU - FRL903 (9W IP65). Did you manage to source a suitable replacement without having to replace all lamps and transformer?

Thanks
John

If you can't find a second hand one, then the only answer is to replace all of them. At least it's only a bathroom, with, maybe, four lamps maximum, rather than an open plan kitchen/ dining or living room with maybe twenty.
Either replace with cans where the lamp can be changed, or buy a couple of spare complete fittings.
