Has anyone had any experience with these service counters? Been asked to have a look at it and try and diagnose the problem of why the lights wont stay on. When switched off and then back on again the lights come on for about a second and then I can hear a click in the relay and off goes the lights but the counter is still being chilled.

I checked the bulbs to see if they where overloading but they are only 30w x 2 and new starters in aswell. So came to the conclusion that the relay is faulty. I've no idea where to get a replacement from though. googled pastorfrigor uk but cant find a website. Any advice would be great.

The controller unit is labelled as Glasgow Hillington, that's about 20 minutes on the Train from the City centre......the company will still be there, also if you PM me I can give you the website for an Electronics company there that repairs these kind of things, will get you a good repair price for it and they can DHL it back to you...

I will have a look at your picture again and look into that particular model...

That's great thanks. I'll pm you tomorrow if that's ok because on my phone at the moment.

if you could clip off the plastic lid on that control box and take a good photo of the circuit board inside to put on here that would be great, can then see what components are inside and have a think about what it should be before you take it out...

Looking at the manual above your system is fully programmable including the lights. If the relay change does not fix it then I would be inclined to look at the software/ setup to see if the lighting times have been disabled hence no lights.

I have a contactor on a 3 phase supply which used to be in the same room as the switches for the heaters it controls. Now a dividing wall has been erected between them. Tbe client thinks the contactor should be moved to be by the heater switches. But would it do any harm to just leave the contactor permanently switched on and not move it? Then he could just turn the heaters on as he liked from the existing switch box?

Been back today. The green light is flashing which means its trying to log on to the network and the red light is on indicating a fault. Looked at the monitor for the fridges and all the others where showing but not the one that's faulty. Anyway they have an engineer coming out tomorrow so it's his/her problem now :)
