Hello - thanks for opening my post :)

I'm asking for help with finding what and where to buy a replacement light switch / or just the module

This light switch controls 2 hallway lights downstairs and 1 light on the upstairs landing. The problem currently is that the 2 light downstairs are not working. (I'm assuming the lights are not working as this switch has a big hole in it - thanks to a frustrated kiddo.)

[Pictures attached] The switch has an intermediate module and another normal looking one :-s - and the broken module is the normal looking module. The normal module dimensions are approx 15mm x 52mm.

It's pretty urgent so hopefully i can find a nearby shop ( I live in North London N13)

Pls can you advise what i should do / buy?

thanks!
Smirch

I could say take the switch to an Electrical wholesaler, BUT you could mess up the connections as you remove the switch, contact a local Sparks should be a simple job and shouldn't cost the earth, the cost of a new switch plus an hours work.

thanks!

Is there a part number on the offending switch??

Welcome to the forum

1st off, congratulations. you have accurately photographed and documented the old switch before taking it off.

You would be amazed at how many don't

most electrical wholesalers should be able to sort you out.

try this lot.

City Electrical Factors sell Omega products. At a guess someone has made that up from different modules. You may have to buy a complete new Omega switch but make sure the module is removable or find an alternative grid switch system, the back box looks deep enough to fit another brand.
