Replacing accessories

Hi

Got a job that were pricing for that is just replacing existing lighting for led in retail shops.
Now im happy that we will do a minor works for each circuit worked on, and that we dont need to upgrade the installation with an RCD just for replacing like for like.
Im just looking for a location in the regs that i can back up any querys with.

why would the lighting need a RCD anyway?

Cable routes in walls to switches should there be any.

It's just maintenance is it not. The lack of RCD protection is not a concern in my view, unless other factors come into play such as the main earthing arrangement. Zs each, or most, points and swap over if good. Obviously look out for any issues along the way. If you are changing quite a few of the actual fittings, rather than just the lamps, then some IR testing etc wouldn't go amiss either.
