Hey all, a few questions!

I had some old storage heaters that I've ripped out and replaced with oil filed electric radiators instead.

I now need to wire them up using the existing sockets that were there.

First thing is what's involved with converting to a normal energy supply from economy7? The storage heaters were on the night rate sockets so I'm guessing a rewire would be needed? Is that something my energy supplier would be responsible for? Or do I need to get someone in?

The heaters are 230v 1250w double insolated, so for now I've just fitted a plug and I'm using them that way but it would be good to get them more permanently fitted.

Thanks all

You need an electrician to provide a 24-hour supply to your economy 7 fuseboard*. This should not require a "rewire".
You should also contact your electricity supplier to terminate the economy 7 tariff as this bumps up the price of electricity consumed during the normal day.

*PS check first that there are not other items connected to the economy 7 supply. Quite often there is a second immersion heater that provides cheaper hot water. Your friendly electrician can advise you, if you are not sure. You could post a photo of your E7 fuseboard/consumer unit.
