I can spell electricty and connect same colored wires to connections, but that's about it.

My old water heater has the attached sticker on it-see picture.

I want to replace with the one linked below.

My issue is the watt differences.

Should I be able to simply disconnect electric and connect to new unit (other than plumbing, which is simple.).

They are similar in specs.
If you are unsure then get a local electrician to advise and install.
