Hi, first time posting

I want to replace my back boxes which are currently 16mm deep with 25 or 35 mm deep back boxes. Ive removed the plaster around it but I don't know what to do with the cables which are on the top and bottom of the back box:confused::confused:

thanks

thanks for the tip and reply, got another problem now
The bricks behind one of the boxes is very uneven and I can't drill into it properly but it's also tough enough that my scutch chisel barely makes a dent in it.

any tips on how to dig it out?

Chain drilling to make knocking it out with the scutch easier is the way to go short of SDS chiselling. 6 -8 mm drill every 5-10mm until you get "bored".
