A question i need little help ,you have a message from office asking how the job is progressing , how you should respond it ?

What other option is there apart from what my learned friend Des56 said in #11? If you tell them it's miles ahead of schedule when it's really miles behind and over budget you're going to get your backside kicked. If you tell them you're miles behind then ten minutes later you ring to tell them you're all done they're going to think you're an idiot.
Can't really believe we're being asked this question if I'm brutally honest. Why do you think there's any other option OP?
