I know this has been done to death but im looking for some help and advice. I am 26 years old and have only just realy discovered what i want to do for a career. I want to retrain as an electrician. I have spoken to local training providers who have pointed me in the direction of the C & G 2365 level 2 & 3 which takes approx 30months to complete part time. And then gain work experience and apply for the NVQ level 3 which can be assesed at work. Does this sound like the best route? I am very keen and want to start my training but at a cost of £5000 i want to make sure that i actually stand a chance of ever being employed. I dont think i stand a chance on a apprenticeship because of my age. Does any body know of anyone looking for an older apprentice or an adult trainee in the Norfolk/Norwich area. Obviously I am willing to pay for my own fees and work any hours. Any help will be much appreciated.
