People living in is a dammed nusiense but all you can do is run everything in parallel to the original where possible and send them all shopping or somewhere for a couple of days while you change over. As to possible or not, different thoughts from different people. If you are an employee, then yes it's impossible, but if you work for yourself or employ others then yes it's possible. Guess it's all down to who gets the money for the job.
 
the main issue i would have said is moving the furniture, if you get some ikea stuff that is ready to drop to bits then a 2 man lift is essential!!
switch drops can be a pain in the neck as your in and out the loft when the cable gets stuck or wrapped around something,which it inevitably does
