One for any lads in the Glasgow area. I have an opportunity to quote for a rewire, occupied property in the G73 area. Sandstone semi detached, 70% of existing wiring is still in lead :anguished:
If you are interested in quoting pm me and I'll pass on your details to the customer. I'm not playing middleman, I've just too much on at the mo (plus I don't enjoy occupied rewires!).

I value my local reputation, so only get in touch if you'll do a pukka job at a fair price!

Cheers.

@Hellmooth might be interested.

It's a really good idea Lee but I worry about the standard of a lot of them and don't want to wreck my reputation. :) Generally the proper good people are flat out busy eh ?
Yeah that is the trouble mate. I'm lucky really as I have a semi retired sparks who's really good and I can call upon him at short notice and another sparks I've done bits and pieces with for years that I can pass jobs onto and earn a drink. Both I trust to do as good as job as me.

Those are the sort of people I could do with finding Lee, although I do have a 68 year old occasional labourer/mate who is brilliant and a really good laugh too.
Its difficult letting go of the reigns sometimes....I'm off on holiday for two weeks from the 22nd of this month and he is looking after things and the lads whilst I'm away. I have a site of 55 commercial units at the mo but there is planning for 400 odd but doing them in stages of 50 odd so a good run of work. There isn't much in them as they are basic and when bought the customer gets them fitted out. You can knock one unit out a day on your own. I get the semi retired chap in and give him £250 a unit and I'm getting £450 a unit and getting the materials on the builders account. Every ones a winner :D
