Rewire prices an all time low

Just wondering how well you lads are doing on winning work at the minute. I'm doing ok at the minute surviving on day works etc. Priced 5 or 6 rewires in the last month and not won one! I've been pricing as low as £2000.00 for a 3 bed semi. I'm in Liverpool area. Surely to god I'm not expensive. NICEIC approved contractor (for what it's worth)

Do they only employ Poles.

I thought that was illegal under the equal opportunities act.

If I started an electrical business and only employed English people I would be taken to court under the race discrimination act etc.

So the £2000 quote includes all fittings/cable/CU/tails/bonding/chase and refinish?? , only asking as i'm thinking of getting into this field and just wondering exactly what a full rewire generaly covers.

It's a massive amount of work and then out of the £2000 you have to pay tax etc.

Had two phone calls last week, both would not let me round to see before quoting as others had done over the phone so why can't i.
Thats the world we live in eh ...........really.

I dont see how anyone can trust a quote from a spark whos never seen the house. These customers deserve whatever they get for their stupidity imho

Anyone pricing a re-wire over the phone either doesn't know or care about what they are doing.

Unless they quote £2500 for a 2 bed terrace! and still get the job.
